Nobody's got a brand new pair of roller-skates into which THIS key will fit! The original "skate key"...at full scale...in shining sterling silver. 2-1/4" x 1-1/8" Remember roller skates? The first "heavy metal"--even the WHEELS! Some people might have thought that the person who invented vintage roller skates was in cahoots with Band-Aid--for permanently skinned knees seemed to go hand in hand with roller skating. Nostalgic large-scale Sterling Silver Roller Skate charm. A Fables "classic". Anther example of my fascination with keys. This key was used to tighten what were essentially one size fits all roller skates and children worse them on a string around their necks so they wouldn't lose the key, so that they could remove their roller skates from their shoes before they skinned their knees trying to get up the front steps in their skates.
